John Woodley is currently Professor at DTU Chemical Engineering in Denmark. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Manchester (UK) in Chemical Engineering and PhD in Biochemical Engineering from UCL (London, UK). His research interests are in the scale-up of new bioprocesses, with particular focus on (1) oxygen transfer, (2) selective separation and (3) enzyme stability. He has published around 300 scientific papers and 30 book chapters. Over the years’ he has received a number of awards. In 2016, he was the elected Chair of the GRC on Biocatalysis (USA) and in 2021 he was awarded an ERC Advanced Grant. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK).
