Polymer Research Engineer

Dr. Jo Ann Ratto is a Polymer Research Engineer with the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) Natick, MA, where she has been working for over 18 years. Her experience spans a variety of fields involving nanocomposites, bodegradable polymers, structure-property relationships of polymers, extrusion processing, and membranes. She is the principal investigator of several environmental projects focused on decreasing the solid waste for the military food packaging.
Dr. Ratto received her Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA and received her Masters of Science and Doctorate of Engineering in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
