Jason (Iasson) Mustakis is a Research Fellow at Pfizer WRD. He received his PhD in chemical engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison and his chemical engineering Diploma from Aristotelian University at Thessaloniki Greece. He joined Warner-Lamber / Parke-Davis in 1998 that was eventually absorbed by Pfizer. At Pfizer he worked on all aspects of process development with emphasis in new technologies and computational sciences on the interface of chemistry and engineering. During his 25 year career he worked on multiple APIs including alternative synthesis for atorvastatin, torcetrapib, tofacitinib, dacomitinib, latrepirdine, ertugliflozin. He is currently leading the Computational Process Design and Optimization group in Chemical R&D focusing on utilization of data driven and physics based approaches to accelerate pharmaceutical process development.
