Holly Krutka, formerly of Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, moved to become the Vice President of Coal Generation and Emissions Technologies at Peabody Energy, where she will continue her work on efforts to enhance the existing coal fleet and commercialize high efficiency, low emissions technologies and CCS. CURC offers its congratulations to Holly and we look forward to continuing to work with her in her new role. Dr. Krutka has spent the past decade contributing to the field of clean coal and CCUS, which includes leading research on carbon capture technology development and serving as executive editor for Cornerstone,The Official Journal of the World Coal Industry produced on behalf of the World Coal Association. She is also a member of the U.S. National Coal Council and has been a leading author for several major reports done at the behest of former Energy Secretaries. Previously Dr. Krutka was a senior R&D analyst at Tri-State Generation and Transmission. Dr. Krutka holds both a doctorate and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
