Garrett Lau is a Director of Technology at Lilac Solutions and leads materials development and qualification. He was one of Lilac's first 10 employees and scaled up Lilac's proprietary ion-exchange manufacturing process over 1,000x from bench, through pilot, to commercial- scale. Garrett has a PhD from Northwestern University and a BS from MIT in Materials Science and Engineering. His previous experiences ranged from high temperature electrochemistry for primary metals production and grid-scale storage to small-molecule supramolecular chemistry for supercapacitor and photocatalysis applications.
