Eilon Shani is a Professor in the School of Plant Sciences and Food Security, Tel Aviv University. Professor Shani did his Ph.D. (2005-2010) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Post-Doctoral studies (2011-2013) at the University of California San Diego. His group is interested in the molecular mechanisms regulating plant hormones transport, primarily focusing on auxin, gibberellin, and ABA. To facilitate this, his group develops genome-scale, multi-targeted, CRISPR- and amiRNA based, forward-genetics tools to uncover inaccessible genetic variation in plants.
