
Donald Chahbazpour is currently a Director at National Grid’s Network Strategy group, the department that is responsible for engineering and design of the natural gas and electricity networks. Don is responsible for leading the company’s efforts in sustainability, specifically, focusing on renewable natural gas and system emissions from the natural gas distribution system. His responsibilities include raising awareness, engaging policy makers and delivering proof of concept projects that demonstrate the viability of renewable natural gas and integrating it into the natural gas network.
Previous to his current position, he was responsible for conducting market fundamental analysis for gas and electricity, as well as macroeconomic analysis for various strategy projects. His previous positions at National Grid include corporate strategy, M&A and Energy Portfolio Management. Prior to National Grid, Don was working for a start-up energy technology company focusing on emerging distributed generation technologies and related regulatory issues. Don has a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration (MPA) from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor’s with honors in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
