
Dilip K. Das, P.E., is a Principal Engineer at Bayer Crop-Science’s Kansas City Plant. He is a specialist in DIERS (Design Institute for Emergency Relief Systems) technology with over 45 years of diversified experience in process design and process safety. He is the co-author of three books on preparation for FE and PE in Chemical Engineering, a contributing author in Symposium on Runaway Reactions and the upcoming second edition of Guidelines for Pressure Relief and Effluent Handling Systems, author of numerous technical articles, and a holder of US patent. He has double Honors in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Pakistan & India respectively having placed first in both and earning gold medals for excellence in Chemical Engineering. He earned an MSChE from University of Washington and a certificate in Expert System in Process Engineering from MIT. He is a Fellow of AIChE and a PE in MO.
