He has more than 30 years of experience working with facilities handling highly hazardous chemicals. He has held design, operating, and consulting roles in highly regulated industries, including oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, energy, and chemicals. He is a senior member of AIChE, an Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) fellow, a professional process safety engineer, and a certified functional safety specialist. Hatch has a BSc in chemical and process engineering from the Univ. of Strathclyde.
