Daniel Nguyen, P.E., PMP

Mr. Nguyen serves as Chief Technology Officer for ioMosaic managing the firms software development team. He also directs and supports all aspects of the company’s pressure relief and flare systems evaluation and process safety and risk compliance efforts, including facilitating and implementing many management of change (MOC) processes.

Before joining ioMosaic, Mr. Nguyen was lead manager in the Safety and Risk Management division at Arthur D. Little, where he conducted a wide-range of process safety and risk management activities. Prior to this, he worked with Aspen Technology, Inc. developing and enhancing several distillation/separation models.

Mr. Nguyen has managed large-scale projects and supported all aspects of pressure relief and flare systems design in the chemical, petrochemical, resins/plastics, and pharmaceutical industries. He is experienced with pressure relief standards, regulations, and good engineering practices. His process safety management expertise includes consequence analysis, quantitative risk analysis (QRA), facility siting, process hazard analysis (PHAs), emergency response, process safety auditing, process simulation and feasibility studies of nitrogen trifluoride manufacturing.

Mr. Nguyen is well published and has presented and spoken on a variety of process safety related topics over the last two decades.
