Daniel Anastasio

Daniel Anastasio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2015. His research interests include effective use of game-based learning in undergraduate courses, design of chemical engineering teaching laboratory experiments, and novel pedagogies for teaching decision-making and ethical reasoning to engineering students. In 2020, Dr. Anastasio received the North American Membrane Society’s Educational Innovation Fellowship for a collaborative project that used 3D printing to manufacture custom bench-scale undergraduate laboratory projects to demonstrate separation methods like electrodialysis and forward osmosis. Dr. Anastasio has been recognized by the Chemical Engineering Division of ASEE with the William H. Corcoran Award in 2021 and the Ray W. Fahien Award for Outstanding Teaching Effectiveness and Educational Scholarship in 2023.
