Concepción 'Conchita' Jiménez-González is Director of External Product Development - Skin Health at Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company. She is responsible for the outsourcing model to deliver quality skin health products, leading the development activities and collaboration with external partners for the skin health portfolio.
Conchita currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute. Dr. Jimenez-Gonzalez and her team were awarded the AIChE Industrial Practice in Sustainable Engineering in 2010. She was a co-chair of the Pharmaceutical Roundtable of the American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute (2010-2012), a member of the US EPA’s Board of Scientific Counselors, Technology for Sustainability Sub-Committee. In addition, she served in the National Board of Directors of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers as National Vice-President (2009-2011) and Regional Vice-President (2006-2009).
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh NC; an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from ITESM, Monterrey, México and a B.S. in Chemical and Industrial Engineering at the Chihuahua Institute of Technology, México. Following the Spanish tradition, she is also known as Conchita.
