Chuck Gerba is a professor in the Departments Environmental Science (College of Life Sciences and Agriculture), and Community and Environmental Health (College of Public Health) at the University of Arizona. He has been an author on more than 700 articles including several books in environmental microbiology. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Academy of Microbiology, and the International Water Association. He received the McKee Award for groundwater protection research from the Water Environment Federation in 1996 and the AP Black Research Award from the American Water Research Association in 1997.
