Caroline Reynolds, P.E. is a chemist and chemical engineer who has managed waste-related projects for over 25 years. Many of her past projects were investigations of potential soil and groundwater contamination. Investigation results often are used to determine the preferred remediation method and the extent and cost of cleanup. Ms. Reynolds found that it was important to quickly and clearly explain investigation findings to client management and attorneys. Understanding the findings and their implications are important motivators for the client to obtain sufficient funding for remediation. Clarity of conclusions and recommendations are also important when the investigator provides litigation support to attorneys or appear as an expert witness.
