Brendan is a research scientist and Lecturer at ETH Zurich’s Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, where he has worked since autumn 2017. He is the current chair of Solar Chemistry for ASME. From May 2015 to August 2017 he held a postdoctoral research position at the Institute of Solar Research of the German Aerospace Center. His research interests include multi-phase thermochemistry, and materials science in the area of redox oxides. Currently his research is focused on redox materials and process design in air separation and fuel production processes. He holds a PhD in Physics and a BA in Theoretical Physics from the University of Dublin (Trinity College Dublin).
