Bob Huss is an Engineering Associate at Eastman Chemical Company. He has been with Eastman for 10 years, working on new process development, conceptual design, modeling, economic analysis, and as an internal expert on distillation and reactive distillation. Prior to joining Eastman, Bob was at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for 13 years, as a researcher and Lecturer. At UMass he developed and applied computer tools for conceptual design of reactive distillation. Bob received his Ph.D. in from Carnegie Mellon University, and his B.S. from University of Delaware, both in Chemical Engineering. He is an inventor on one US patent and author of 10 academic papers. Bob is currently the chair of the Process Development Division, AICHE. In the past he served as their Programing Chair and web master.
