
Bhargav Baruah is currently pursuing his PhD at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India. The topic of his PhD thesis is “Detailed investigation of thermal maturation mechanism of Indian oil shales.” He earned his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Gauhati University, Assam, India, and MTech in Energy Technology from Tezpur University, Assam, India. His area of interest is thermochemical degradation of carbonaceous materials, waste to energy and unconventional petroleum resources and has published multiple publications in International journals and conferences. He specializes in characterization of materials, heat transfer in solids, pyrolysis of carbonaceous materials, and kinetic study of thermochemical degradation of carbonaceous materials.
