Dr. Wincure has dedicated his career to understanding, developing, and explaining process modeling and software tools for chemical engineering. Prior to joining ProSim, Inc. as a Technical Sales Engineer in 2012, he worked in software development for five years during the original “internet boom” (1997-2002) in Toronto, Canada, and for five years at Heat Transfer Research Inc (HTRI) (2007-2012) in Texas. His chemical engineering university education includes PhD (2007), Master (1994) and Bachelor (1992) degrees in Chemical Engineering at McGill University, in addition to a Bachelor’s of Science (Biology, 1989) at Stanford University/McGill University. As an Associate Professor, he taught the Process Modeling course for undergraduate chemical engineering students at McGill University in 2005. His past research experience includes the mathematical modeling of biofermentations, and liquid crystal nano-scale biosensors. His laboratory experience includes nicotine reward pathways in rats, biofermentations (self-cycling fermentation), plastics (Dow intern), and protein separation techniques for cancer research (Stanford University).
