Andrew Woolley is a professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the development new optogenetic tools by engineering photoswitchable proteins for applications in basic research in cell and neurobiology. He also designs, develops, and tests light-switchable small molecules for use in photopharmacology.
