Dr. Wu is Professor of Advanced Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, Canada. She received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in 1993. Having completed postdoctoral fellowship for over two years in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at the University of Toronto, she joined the faculty in 1994 as Assistant Professor and progressed to Full Professor there. Dr. Wu’s research interests have included mechanistic studies of controlled drug release, modeling and computer-aided design of modified release dosage forms, nanotechnology-enabled closed-loop insulin delivery, nanoparticulate formulations for enhanced cancer therapy and in vivo deep tissue imaging. Dr. Wu has coauthored ~300 publications and delivered numerous invited presentations. She is a referee of numerous journals and editorial board member of two journals. She has served on various scientific committees of professional organizations and various national and international conferences.
