
Professor Wuqiang Yang graduated from Tsinghua University. After 3 years Lecturer at Tsinghua, he joined UMIST and now is a Professor in the School of EEE. He has published over 250 papers. His main research interests include electrical capacitance tomography, electronic circuit design, instrumentation and multiphase flow measurement. He is a Fellow of IEE and Senior Member of IEEE. He is a referee for over 30 journals, science advisor to Chinese Academy of Sciences, visiting professor at 4 universities, editorial board member of 4 journals and guest editor of 2 journals. He received 1997 IEE Measurement Prize, 1997 Honeywell Prize, 2000 IEE Ayrton Premium and 2009 IET Innovation Award Finalist. His biography has been included in Who's Who since 2002. He is recognised by International Center for Scientific Research as one of top 30 technology researchers in the world. He is currently an IEEE I&M Society Distinguished Lecturer.
