Roger T. Bonnecaze

Roger T. Bonnecaze is the T. Brockett Hudson Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as Chair of the Department since 2005. He received a B.S. from Cornell and a M.S. (1987) and Ph.D. (1991) from the California Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on complex fluid and materials processing flows, particularly with applications in nanomanufacturing. In addition to publishing over 70 papers on these subjects, he holds eight licensed patents. Bonnecaze is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and received the Publication Award from the Journal of Rheology. He was the recipient of a Packard Foundation Fellowship and the NSF Young Investigator Award, was honored with the CalTech Robert W. Vaughn Lectureship and the Cornell Julian Smith Lectureship, and was the Joliot-Curie Visiting Professor, ESPCI, France.
