Mirco Ermini is Lead Design Engineer of LNG compressor for GE Oil & Gas in Florence, Italy, where he takes care of aerodynamic, mechanical and rotordynamic design of refrigeration centrifugal and axial compressor. He has designed two world-scale LNG plant and had travelled to several sites for plant commissioning, start up and troubleshooting. Mr Ermini has been with GE O&G since 2006. He has a B.S. and M.S. degree (Mechanical Engineering, 2000) and a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering (2005) from the university of Florence. He has coauthored several publications in the area of turbomachinery engineering, concerning unsteady effects on centrifugal stages and fluid dynamic design of 3D transonic impellers.
