Meredith Trotta is founder of The Polished Student, a company providing private coaching for college students entering the career world. Before starting The Polished Student, Meredith spent over ten years as a corporate recruiter for Time Inc.’s marketing department in New York City focusing on the hiring of top undergraduate and MBA talent for both internships and full-time jobs.
After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Meredith began her career working in college admissions. She worked in undergraduate admissions for Plymouth State College and UConn, and graduate admissions for Penn State’s Smeal College MBA Program. Meredith then moved to the corporate side of recruiting, joining Time Inc.’s Consumer Marketing Department in New York City. She spent over ten years there, hiring undergraduate and MBA's. Her internship program offered meaningful marketing experience, first-class training programs and comprehensive networking opportunities and was recognized by the Direct Marketing Eduational Foundation (DMEF) as one of the industry’s best. During that time, Meredith was a regular speaker at several colleges including: NYU, Columbia, Dartmouth and UPenn.
Now, as The Polished Student's College & Career Coach, she offers students and young professionals an inside look at how they can stand out against the competition.
