Mr. Ferguson serves as Chairman of the American Chemistry Council Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Business Roundtable and as a Trustee of the United States Council for International Business. He became Executive Chairman of the Board of Eastman Chemical Company on May 7, 2009. Mr. Ferguson was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eastman Chemical Company January 1, 2002 - May 7, 2009. Joining Eastman in 1977, he was named Vice President, Industry and Federal Affairs in 1994, became Managing Director, Greater China in 1997, was named President, Eastman Chemical Asia Pacific in 1998, became President, Polymers Group in 1999, and became President, Chemicals Group in 2001. He is also a member of the board of directors of FPL Group, Inc., parent company of Florida Power & Light Company.
