Joannah Otashu

Dr. Joannah Otashu is an Applications Engineer with the Energy & Chemicals division of Siemens gPROMS. Joannah obtained her Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. During this time, she carried out extensive process design and optimisation of industrial gas processes including air separation and chlor-alkali. She joined Siemens Houston office as Consultant Engineer in 2020 where she supported the development of dynamic flowsheet model for digitization of air separation units and data-driven model of a classic petrochemical production process...Read more

Roger Turner

Roger Turner is an historian and storyteller. His particular scholarly expertise is in 20th-century atmospheric science, scientific instruments, and environmental monitoring.

At the Science History Institute, Roger helped launch the student role-playing game Conflicts in Chemistry: The Case of Rare Earth Elements, worked on the film The Instrumental Chemist, developed the playful online experience Instruments of Change, and contributes to museum exhibitions.
