William A. Aslaner

William A. Aslaner graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007 and began his employment with ExxonMobil in the same year. He has spent most of his career in the Steam Cracking Pyrolysis group and is currently the lead process engineer. Some career highlights include designing new furnaces and evaluating and validating new technologies. Most recently, he has had the opportunity to bring the ExxonMobil hydrogen burner from the proof-of-concept design to the first commercial application. David B. Spicer

David B. Spicer received a bachelor of mechanical engineering with honors from the Univ. of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. In 1979, he joined the Altona Petrochemical Company, a 50/50 Exxon/Mobil joint-venture ethylene plant near Melbourne, Australia. Dorothy M. Shaffer

Dorothy M. Shaffer is a Principal Consultant with BakerRisk. Initially working as a production plant process engineer and project engineer with Terra International, she rose to Director of Risk and Reliability and implemented several corporate-wide reliability improvement programs. She left Terra for independent consultant work on Hurricane Katrina Recovery, supporting the Gulf Coast DuPont rebuild efforts.
