Liana Vaccari

Liana Vaccari, PhD, is a Program Officer with the Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. In this role, Vaccari co-directs the Roundtable on Plastics, supports the U.S. National Committee for the International Union for Pure and Applied Chemistry, and broadly manages a portfolio of projects in the chemistry and chemical engineering space with a focus on sustainability and circularity. Brent Heard

Brent Heard, PhD, is a Senior Program Officer with the Board on Energy and Environmental Systems of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. He is leading work at the Academies on applying lifecycle assessment for fuels policy and regulation, as well as numerous activities on electricity system reliability and decarbonization.
