Modeling the Lithium-Ion Battery [Whitepaper]

Lithium-ion batteries have become the most common batteries for consumer electronics, industrial, transportation and power-storage applications. Now, simulation is a necessary tool to understand, optimize, control and design batteries and battery systems. This white paper illustrates how multiphysics modeling allows the analysis of several design parameters and operating conditions such as short circuits, hot-spots or thermal runaway.
