We are pleased to announce that Rick Valdes, Investigator for the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, will be giving a presentation on engineering ethics and professionalism.

Rick Valdes

Rick Valdes is an Investigator IV with the Compliance & Enforcement Department, Texas Board of Professional Engineers. He has over 24 years of experience as an investigator with the State of Texas; eleven of those years with the Board. As an investigator, Rick ensures that the TPBE Act and Board Rules are followed and also investigates complaints that are received by the Board regarding violations to the Act and or Board Rules.

Stacey I. Zones

Stacey I. Zones is currently a Research Fellow with Chevron’s Energy and Technology Company, working in the catalyst department. He has also been an Adjunct Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering. Dr. Zones earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego in 1978, with a thesis in the area of model systems for nitrogen fixation. He joined Chevron in 1980 and began a program in searching for new zeolite structures with a strong emphasis on designing organic cations to aid in the synthesis.Read more
