Yan Zhang

Yan Zhang was born in China in 1986. She received her Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China in 2008. After that, she continues her study as a graduate student in department of Chemical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University, US. Now she is at the fourth year of her PhD program. Yogendra Shastri

Yogendra Shastri is a Visiting Research Assistant Professor at the Energy Biosciences Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is working on computational modeling and systems analysis of biomass feedstock production and provision. He is a chemical engineer by training and specializes in modeling, simulation and analysis of engineering systems. He has extensive multi-disciplinary research experience that includes contributions in bioenergy, environmental management, and theoretical and applied aspects of sustainability.Read more

Young-Hoon Song

Young-Hoon Song was born in Wonju, Korea, in 1959. He recieved the B.S. degree from Hanyang University, in 1983, the M.S. degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, in 1986, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, State College, in 1994. Since 1994, he has been working in Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM). Yuhua Duan

Yuhua Duan obtained his BS in Chemistry, a MS in Chemical Physics, PhD in Condensed Matter of Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, and another MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota. As an active researcher he has been working in the fields of chemical physics and bioinformatics at several international research groups in China, Brazil, Switzerland and the US. Carol Schmidt

Carol Schmidt works as a process/facilities engineer in the upstream design industry. She has been involved with STS-AIChE since shortly after graduation from the University of Houston in 2007. She was Chair for the STS-AIChE Young Professionals in 2009 and is serving currently as Past Chair for STS-AIChE. Amanda Robben

Amanda Robben is currently working for BASF Corporation in their Business Accounting Platform. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2006 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Amanda started out her career as a project manager with BASF and has recently moved to the BAP group. She is currently working on getting her MBA.

Lyman Frost

Mr. Frost is currently Director of Business Development for Ceramatec in Salt Lake City Utah. Prior to joining Ceramatec he was the Director of Alternate Fuels and Energy Systems at the Idaho National Laboratory for eight years. He has directed multiple projects associated with hydrogen generation, fuel cells, and reforming.
