Co-chair(s)

Dahlman, C., Univ of California - Santa Barbara

Perovskites have attracted considerable attention as potentially revolutionary semiconductor materials because of their excellent optical and electronic properties as well their solution-processibility. In the past decade, tremendous progress has been made in fabricating high-performance devices including photovoltaic cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), laser, and radiation detectors with performances approaching and even exceeding the current state-of-the-art commercial technologies. In this focused session, we cover fundamental materials chemistry, electronic properties, and device engineering of this exciting family of semiconductor materials.
