2D lead halide perovskites offer a versatile platform for the creation of atomically precise interfaces between organic and inorganic layers. In this talk, I will describe the vibrational, thermal, and phase change properties of 2D alkylammonium lead halide perovskites. Highlights will include 1) selective order/disorder transitions of the organic subphase, 2) observation of zone-folded longitudinal acoustic (zf-LA) phonons in 2D superlattices, and 3) evidence for ballistic phonon transport in interlayer heat transfer.
