Education Outreach

Many opportunities exist for Educational Outreach with the Mid-Michigan Section.   This is an exciting way to share your interest in science and technology with future scientists and citizens.  Every year dozens of volunteers contribute to a wide range of activities, and enjoy the experience.  The specific events change, but we always participate in science fairs and science labs and demonstrations in middle schools.  Training is provided.  Recent events include:

• Sci-Fest (with the American Chemical Society & the Mid-Michigan Technician Group)
• 4-H Science Blast
• Oil spill lab demonstration
• The science of ice cream
• The science of sun screen
