Why NorCal PDS 2014?

This symposium will address foundational topics related to process development leading to successful commercialization, as well as increase awareness of AIChE’s Northern California (NorCal) local section  to a broader local chemical engineering community. Contributions by chemical engineers practicing process development are critical for successful commercialization of many useful processes and products as you will learn from the various talks.  The Organizing Committee has come up with a one-day program featuring knowledgeable speakers from various industries and government laboratories employing process development professionals.

The symposium will have three sessions with speakers discussing:

  • Addressing environmental, health and safety issues
  • Industrial case studies
  • Work process optimization and smart manufacturing

The talks will offer an opportunity to listen as well as learn from speakers’ prior experience.  There will also be ample time to network and discuss your current challenges with speakers and other attendees to come up with solutions that can be applied to your line of work right away.

Come and enjoy the day with your colleagues.
