For our last meeting of 2017, we'll be gathering in a Spanish tavern overlooking Walnut Creek for tapas, camaraderie and a chance to meet other AIChE and CSPE members in an intimate rooftop setting. Together we'll participate in a career development focused presentation on chemical engineers and professional engineering licensure.

Our guest speaker Bob Katin, PE will be sharing case studies and testimonials on professional engineering licensure in the State of California. His presentation will promote how professional licensure positively impacted his own career as a successful engineer moving between industries and ultimately in the founding of his own engineering consulting firm

// About the Speaker

Bob Katin, PE is California AIChE’s Government Relations Committee Chair (affectionately know as KeepUs).  He is President of the California Legislative Council of Professional Engineers and has served two previous terms as the Chair of AIChE NorCal. As a licensed Professional Engineer (in chemical engineering) with over 40 years of experience, Bob has changed roles and careers as the industry transformed around him, from operating nuclear power plants, chemical plants and refinery units, to executive roles in project management, environmental consulting and instrument and electrical contracting. He is the founder of Katin Engineering Consulting.
