AIChE Continues to Welcome Innovation and Impact with Its Fall 2022 Grant Funding Cycle

The AIChE® Foundation is proud to announce the upcoming Annual Fund grant funding cycle, which welcomes Operating Councils to submit grant proposals for new projects that will expand the Foundation’s Doing a World of Good campaign and transform the chemical engineering profession.

Thanks to the incredible support and generosity from our Annual Fund donors, the AIChE Board of Trustees is able to fund groundbreaking initiatives that will benefit chemical engineering and society overall. Below are a few examples of successful grant proposals that have come to fruition as programs enacting meaningful change—yours could be next!

Summer School for ChE Faculty

For nearly a century, chemical engineering faculty have convened an immersive conference every five years. In 2022, this event brought together over 230 faculty and professionals where new professors learned from more experienced faculty. The AIChE Foundation was one of the funders of this year’s event, joining with 3M, AbbVie, Amgen, Bristol Myers Squibb, Chevron, Dow, Eli Lilly and the KEEN Foundation.

AIChE LGBTQ+ & Allies Programming and Social

Programming was created in alignment with IDEAL and presented during inclusion training sessions at the AIChE Annual Student Conference and 2021 Annual Meeting in Boston. An evening social provided networking and community building for both students and professional members.

AIChE Chemical Engineering for Good Challenge (ACE4G)

The Global Societal Initiative Committee (GSIC) hosted ACE4G, an annual global humanitarian program and competition that encourages students to improve the lives of those in developing countries through the practice of chemical engineering.

The fall 2022 funding cycle opens on October 1, 2022 and closes on December 1, 2022. If you have any questions regarding the grant funding process, please contact giving@aiche.org.
