There are lots of great opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in leading edge research at the University of Kansas and the University of Delaware in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Faculty research projects provide a unique opportunity for undergrduates to become involved as early as their freshman year in serious scientific work with a leading expert in the field. Each year, the Departments circulate a description of faculty projects and the roles that undergraduates would provide in the research. Some projects have funding to hire student assistants during the summer and the academic year. The departments also host frequent seminars and colloquia, open to undergraduates, where scholars from Universities, Industry and National Laboratories present their recent work. This presentation will highlight some of the recent undergraduate projects in chemical engineering at the University of Kansas and the University of Delaware.
