Title: Enhance Air Quality and Achieve Regulatory Compliance by Optimizing Ammonia-based Flue-gas Desulfurization Processes with the OLI Platform
Abstract: Sulfur dioxide emissions are an environmental and human health hazard. Governments have developed strict air quality standards that regulate SO2 emissions. Processes like flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) and efficient ammonia-based flue gas desulfurization (EADS) are used to mitigate SO2 emissions. In this presentation we will discuss the EADS process and its current applications; we will also talk about OLI’s thermodynamic framework the Mixed Solvent Electrolyte (MSE) to predict key properties and share validation plots confirming the accuracy of obtained simulated results.
