Professor. Yong Geng is a distinguished Professor on Circular Economy and Industrial Ecology and also dean at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
His main research field covers industrial ecology, environment management, climate change, carbon emission accounting and sustainable development. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers in international journals such as Science, Nature, Environmental Science & Technology, etc.
In 2013, he received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is a Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor of Ministry of Education. He is also serving in various organizations and scientific communities, such as a Leading Author in IPCC AR-5 and AR-6, reviewers for many international journals, experts in UN organizations (UNEP, UNIDO, UNU, UNCRD), and consultants for Chinese local governments.
