Kai Midboe

Kai David Midboe a member of the Environmental Law and Toxic Tort Department of the McGlinchey Stafford law firm.   He graduated from Bradley University with a B.A. in International Relations, St. John’s University School of Law with a J.D. in law, and the University of Miami School of Law (in cooperation with the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences) with an LL.M. in Ocean Law.  Kai served the State of Louisiana as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Quality, Executive Assistant to the Governor for Federal and Environmental Affairs, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources, Assistant Attorney General for Lands and Natural Resources, and in the Louisiana State University Sea Grant Legal Program.   He served at the federal level as Counsel to the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Navigation and Counsel to the Maritime and International Law Division of the United States Coast Guard.   Kai is a Founding Member and Alumni Member of the Environmental Council of States (ECOS).
