Dr. Ng is the Chief Scientific Officer, co-founder and co-inventor at GC Therapeutics, Inc. (GCTx), a VC-backed cell therapy company with the first genome-scale cell landscape exploration approach using an integrated synthetic biology and AI-driven platform for cell programming. He co-founded GCTx alongside Prof. George Church and Dr. Parastoo Khoshakhlagh based on his PhD work at Harvard and co-first-authored the Nature Biotechnology publication that describes the technology. GCTx has won Golden Tickets from Amgen and Biogen, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Innovation Day Prize and YEi Start in France, and was among the winners of the Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge. Dr. Ng’s work has been recognized by numerous speaker invitations, including to the Human Genome Project: Write, the Keystone Symposium and the International Mammalian Synthetic Biology Conference, and has been featured by CBS’s 60 Minutes, Nature Biotechnology’s News Feature and Der Spiegel.
