AIChE’s Annual Meeting is expected to draw more than 5,000 engineers and undergraduates with plenary lectures, 16 topical conferences, approximately 800 technical sessions and special events.

New York – The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has launched an International Certificate on Sustainable Standards for Engineering (ICOSSE) for tradeshow exhibitors. The program was piloted in cooperation with DECHEMA, the German-based Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, at ACHEMA. Based on exhibitor response, it will now be used at other events. ACHEMA, the world’s largest exhibit for the chemical, environmental and biotechnology industries, operated by DECHEMA, ran June 18 to 22 at the Messe in Frankfurt am Main.  

The Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Singapore’s Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) have partnered to organize the 6th International Conference on Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (ICBN), which will be held from June 24 to 27 in Berkeley, California.

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ Institute for Sustainability has announced the creation of the Sustainable Packaging Cosmetics Roundtable.

The Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has announced the inaugural winners of the D. I. C. Wang Award for Excellence in Biochemical Engineering.

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers will hold its Spring Meeting and 8th Global Congress on Process Safety, in Houston from April 1-5. Much of the meeting will focus on energy solutions and advancements in safety.
