Each summer, AIChE selects some of the country’s top, final-year engineering students to participate in a public policy initiative like few others. The WISE program is a nine-week immersion that puts participants face-to-face with public policy makers. During their time there, students grapple with the real-world opportunities and challenges of navigating the halls of government in our profession.

In the first of a two-part discussion, we’ve brought together James Bednar, Christina Chen, Ishaan Dev, Alex Hsain, Zeyi Lin, and Victor Rodriguez to share their thoughts and insights about how the program has shaped their thinking about government and industry partnership.
