Endowment Gifts

Why are endowment gifts so important?

Because a healthy endowment provides opportunities for an organization to more vigorously deliver upon its mission. Whether we are talking about education, diversity, or innovative technical programming, the AIChE Endowment provides a secure and reliable source of funding to support the crucial building blocks of AIChE.

When gifts to the AIChE Endowment are received, the principal is held in perpetuity, with part of the annual earnings generating sustained funding for activities designated by the donor. This can translate into ongoing support for prestigious awards and student scholarships; global engagement activities; new technical programming; and initiatives that promote the advancement of underrepresented minorities and women in the chemical engineering profession.

What are my options?

Named and restricted funds, which begin with a gift of $50,000 or more, offer the opportunity for a donor to honor a peer or memorialize a loved one. All endowment gifts can be established through cash, stock, bequests, or trusts. Pledged gifts, usually over a five year timeframe, are welcome.

By ensuring a continuous source of funding for signature AIChE programs, every dollar of gift support for endowment enriches the life of AIChE today, and forever. Furthermore, the stability of a healthy AIChE Endowment encourages program expansion and strategic planning to strengthen the Institute and advance the chemical engineering profession for decades to come.
