Dr. Wayne Yao is currently Asia Pacific Core R&D Director at Dow and leads the team in implementing the Corporate research and development strategy to support regional business growth in Asia Pacific. He also represents R&D organization at the Greater China Leadership Team at Dow. Besides, he is a Council Member of Chinese Chemical Society.
Prior to Dow, he held multiple positions at Honeywell Specialty Materials in China, and GE Plastics in China, respectively. He became certified DFSS Black Belt at GE Plastics in 2006.
Wayne Yao received a Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Yale Univ. and a B.S. degree from Univ. of Sci. & Tech. of China. He holds 19 patents and 13 publications on refereed scientific journals.
