Daniel Lacks is the C. Benson Branch Professor of Chemical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University.  Prof. Lacks received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Cornell University in 1987, and his Ph.D. in chemistry at Harvard University in 1992.  He carried out postdoctoral research in the chemical engineering department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1993-94, and he was a professor of chemical engineering at Tulane University, from 1994-2003, before joining the Case faculty.  His research thrusts address the electrostatic charging of granular materials and the molecular simulation of materials properties.
