IDEAL Spring Meeting programming
Many attended and participated in IDEAL programming at this year’s Spring Meeting & GCPS. All IDEAL events showcased AIChE’s efforts towards equity, diversity, and inclusion and the IDEAL Path. There were opportunities to network with members of AIChE’s IDEAL communities, and hear from leaders about the best practices towards progress.
NEW Celebrate Pride home page
AIChE just launched a new web page in support of Pride Month and the IDEAL goals of equity, diversity, and inclusion. It offers ways to support the cause and collaborate with LGBTQ+ members and allies during June. Join the community, support the LGBTQ+ endowment, or enroll in the EDI certificate program and get 22% off!
The EDI certificate program includes three courses that uncover the importance of EDI and why it matters in STEM. You’ll learn about the impact of EDI in STEM and engineering while developing the necessary tools to address equity, diversity, and inclusion in your role as a student, professional engineer, or engineering administrator.
Featured LGBTQ+ & Allies series
As part of its continuing efforts in diversity and inclusion, ChEnected began a series focused on LGBTQ+ chemical engineers and their allies. Many LGBTQ+ & Allies community members have shared their story to help create awareness around diversity and inclusion. If you have a story to share, we’d love to hear from you!
