The 4th International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing organized by the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing at the University of Kentucky will examine the advances in sustainable manufacturing at the product, process and systems levels.
The symposium will focus on new economics, which reflect the impact of processes on natural resources, and investigate development, consumer attitudes, and venture capital interest in new biopolymers.
The event is a follow-on from the 2009 workshop held in Lausanne, Switzerland. Sister engineering societies, AIME, AIChE and ASCE, are also involved in the planning again as well.
TARDIS 2014 will focus on Policies and Technologies for Sustainability. TARDIS is organized with joint sponsorship by the U.S. EPA Department of Research and Innovation and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research.
IfS will be participating at the 10th Annual National Sustainable Design Expo (NSDE) this year and you should too! The expo will be held April 25-27, 2014, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. and is open to the public.
