The purpose of the Congress is to exchange emerging ideas about ways and means of protecting the environment and its resources so that humans can achieve sustainable development and societal benefits throughout generations.
Conferences & Events
The theme of the Congress is Engineering Education for Sustainable Development.
The event is a follow-on from the 2009 workshop held in Lausanne, Switzerland. Sister engineering societies, AIME, AIChE and ASCE, are also involved in the planning again as well.
This 1.5 day Workshop, funded by the United Engineering Foundation (UEF), will identify technical challenges and gaps and examine custom technical solutions for an efficient and sustainable food supply chain.
The symposium focused on new economics, which reflect the impact of processes on natural resources, and investigated development, consumer attitudes, and venture capital interest in new biopolymers.
The 4th International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing organized by the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing at the University of Kentucky will examine the advances in sustainable manufacturing at the product, process and systems levels.
