Javier Dufour is Head of the Systems Analysis Unit at IMDEA Energy Institute and Associate Professor at Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain). His areas of interest are focused on process definition, simulation and optimization; life cycle sustainability assessment; energy modelling and roadmapping applied to different renewable energy systems and clean technologies. He is author of more than 75 scientific papers, more than 140 conference or congress communications and 3 patents. He has participated in 55 research projects or contracts, 8 international ones, leading 28 of them. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Spanish Life Cycle Assessment Network (esLCA), Operating Agent of IEA-HIA Task 36 “Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment del Hydrogen Energy Systems” and Vice-chair of Cross-cutting Research at N.ERGHY.
